Vulnerability Assessment (VA) is a procedure by which we identifies the potential vulnerabilities of a given target.
It is a process implemented through manual or automated whereby, for each vulnerability identified, a risk score (or a level of criticality) is to be assigned, which is then to be corroborated by the client, so that a risk profile based precisely on the aforementioned analysis is realized.
Generally, it is a procedure that is applied on hosts, network and applications.
At the end of the activity, a report is produced that documents any detection and serves as a basis for guiding the client in the resolution (or acceptance) of the critical issues.
